Black Queens draw 1:1 with Cameroun in Olympic qualifier

Mercy MylesThe national women's team, the Black Queens, secured a morale boosting 1:1 draw with Cameroun in the first leg of their 2016 Olympic Games qualifier in Yaounde on Saturday.

Skipper Mercy Myles gave Ghana the lead in the 25th minute before Christine Manie got the equalizer for the home team in the 54th minute of the match.

The Queens will host the Indomitable Lioness in the second leg match which will be played in a fortnight in Ghana.

The match which will be the last stage of the qualifiers which will see the winner qualifying to the Olympics Games in Rio de Janeiro next year.

The Black Queens made it to this stage of the qualifiers after beating Egypt 4-1 on aggregate.
