Rio 2016: Black Queens in revenge mission in Cameroun

Ghana vs CamerounThe national women’s team, the Black Queens, will have revenge on their minds when they embark on their trip to Yaoundé to play the Cameroonian national team in a 2016 Rio Olympic qualifier on Saturday.

The Black Queens failed to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games after losing 2:1 on aggregate to the Cameroonians, after drawing 1:1 in Accra and losing 1:0 in Yaoundé.

They are already through to the 2015 All Africa Games where they are drawn interestingly in the same group with Cameroun.

The game could serve as a dress rehearsal before the Games. Meanwhile, a team of 18 players and 10 officials are expected to leave Accra for Yaoundé on Wednesday for the game.
