Twellium Industries pledges to invest in Ghana Sports


Twellium industries have pledged their continuous investment in sports.

According to them, they were happy with the professionalism attached to the management of disciplines like Weightlifting, Tennis, Table Tennis and Armwrestling thus their continuous support to sports development.

Head of Marketing at Twellium, Ali Ajami said there are lots of potentials in sports investment in the country and as a company they will take advantage of the system to make Ghana sports grow.

ODR3He said they have been involved in the development of sports like Weightlifting where the national team, Black Cranes won Commonwealth medals in Malaysia last year as well as continental medals in Congo in the same year.

They have also been partnering McDan for the annual McDan West African Open Tennis Championship at the Tennis Court of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kofikrom Pharmacy who have also supported the development of armwrestling from the scratch also said they want to promote healthy sportsmen and high level performance thus their desire to grow with armwrestling.

Head of Kofikrom Pharmacy, Mr Kofi Addo Agyekum said “We are so far happy with our investment in the discipline and we’ll continue to support its development.”

The National Armwrestling team is sponsored by TT Brothers, Mama Vits, Paradise Pac Mineral Water, Henry’s Inn Restaurant, Joy Herbal Industries, Awards Center, Event Factory and Vitamilk.

President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, Mr Charles Osei Asibey, who is also Communications Director of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) said his federation is grateful to all the sponsors and called on corporate bodies to invest in sports development.

He commended Ghana sports lovers and sponsors for supporting a worthy course and said the Arm Wrestling Federation will in the coming months visit other regions to decentralise the sport and form a stronger team for the next African championship to be hosted in Ghana.
