Stanbic Bank Table Tennis League - First Round of Ends Successfully


The 2017 Stanbic Bank table tennis league has ended at the sports hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Mr. Mawuko Afadzinum president of Ghana Table tennis Federation said he was impressed with the level of performance by the players and that gives the federation so much hope that, the players will bring honour to Ghana when they participate in international competitions.

“The competition is very intensed , the level of play has been better than previous seasons and that gives hope that, the players would do well in international games.”

He encouraged kids and adults to involve themselves in the sport because there are so many advantages if they play table tennis.

“We want to encourage all kids and adults to get involve in table tennis. table tennis is a medium intensity sport, it helps for dexterity, it helps for flexibility and it promotes good health.”

The round two of the table tennis league will start on 9th July, 2017 to September but they will break in August for the West Africa Open in Lagos, Nigeria and the Homowo Open.
