Ghana to host TAP West Africa Part 2

Hockey tapThe Ghana Hockey Association will host the 2nd round of the Hockey TAP West Africa program at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium from 28th May to 5th June 2015 in Accra.

For the second year of the 4-year development partnership between Ghana Hockey and England Hockey with support from UK Sports and the Africa Hockey Federation, the team of expert resource persons in fields ranging from High Performance Training to Umpiring and Coaching will arrive in Ghana to facilitate the various components of the project.

The TAP Resource Team comprising Darren Cheeseman, Siegfried Aikman and Mark Jarvis would arrive in Accra on 27th May ahead of the commencement of the grogram on the 28th May.

As part of this year’s program, there would be a high performance training camp for the National Women’s Team, Level 1 and 2 Coaches Courses, Foundation and Advance Umpire’s Training Courses in Greater Accra Region for the Southern Sector and the Ashanti Region.

The program is expected to attract participants from almost all the regions of the country as well as a number of West African Countries.

For this year’s program the Northern Sector would host the TAP team for two days compared to the 1 day program for last year.

Meanwhile, the programme will be launched on Monday 30th May 2016 at the Conference room of the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium at 9:00am.
