IOC/GOC course for Badminton Coaches Ends

ClosingThe Ghana Olympic Committee working through the Olympic Solidarity has ended a one-week BWF level 1 Technical Course for Badminton Coaches at the Tema GHAPOHA Sports Complex.

The course, which started on Thursday, October 8, ended on Thursday, October 15 and is the third technical course to be organised by the GOC this year.

The certification course was the first of its kind for badminton coaches in Ghana and formed part of the GOC’s commitment to supporting coach education and development in Ghana.

Participants thought the five module systems in badminton including technical, tactical, psychological, lifestyles, coaching and principles.

The ten coaches who benefitted from the course were given certificates of participation by the International Olympic Committee.

This is the third and final technical training course the GOC will be organising this year through Olympic Solidarity following the successful complexion of the courses for taekwondo and volleyball earlier in the year.

The IOC sponsored course was supervised by the course instructor Annirao Dajee from Mauritius.
