Hor Halute, the aspiring golden girl of Ghana Athletics can not represet Ghana at the up coming Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.

According to Fuseini Bawah, General Secretary of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA), the girl from the north of Ghana who made history by being the only African in the finals of the 100 meters race at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia is over the age limit to participate at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

He explained that Hor Halute is 19 years old and missed the age for the Youth Games.

He however hinted that there are other young Ghanaian athletes who can make Ghana proud.

He said Ghana Athletics has been on a steady rise but many people, especially the media have not been monitoring their activities and programmes.

He said would send a team of young sportsmen and women who are potential international champions.

According to Yeboah who is president of the Ghana Badminton Association, recent happenings on the sports scene have taught him many things, especially the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.

He noted for the Youth Oympic, Ghanaian sports journalists have to prove with their works before their accreditation would be approved by the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

He added that only sports journalists who would provide their international (AIPS) cards may have the accreditation approved.
