Ghana Beats Togo 5-1To Win Binatone International Skate Soccer Cup


The Rolling Rockets of Ghana thrashed their counterparts from Togo 5-0 in an international skate soccer game played at the Accra Sports Stadium last Saturday.

International Federation of Skate soccer in collaboration with Binatone organized the international friendly game which attracted a respectable crowd.

The Rolling Rockets of Ghana proved that they are ahead of their counterparts from Togo with their inter positional changes and wonderful display of skill and speed.

As the game gathered momentum, captain Gariba Sani dribbled past three of Togolese defence before assisting the number 18 shirted man, Aminiu Almu to open the score sheet with a close range.

Gariba Sani added one goal to it before the first half ended.


The Togolese started the second half with high pressing game to reduce the deficit but the Ghana’s goalkeeper, Mansir Salisu denied them on several occasions.

Umar Amadu in number 12 shirt for the Rolling Rockets (Ghana) was too hot for the Togolese with his pace and power and undoubtedly, the best player on the field added two goals.

The Togolese never gave up after conceding five goals and finally had their consolation through a spot kick by Abdoul M.Abdoulaye .

Togolese center back, Assoumane Yahaya was the only player to go into the referee’s book with a yellow card on a foul against Ghana’s captain, Gariba Sani.

Ghana’s side were awarded Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis GH¢ 10,000.00, products from Binatone and a giant trophy.

The Togolese side was also promised products from Binatone which they will receive at the Binatone branch in Togo when they return to their country.

Best goalkeeper award went to Ghana’s Mansir Salisu who denied the Togolese on so many occasions.

The best defender also went to Mohamed Awalu who won so many interceptions, blocks and tackles for Ghana.

The goal king award went to Ghana’s skipper Gariba Sani who had two goals and an assist and the overall best player went to Umar Amadu for his splendid and entertaining performance on the day.

International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS) was co-founded in 2017 by Sunil Lalvani(Group Managing Director of Binatone) and Albert Frimpong, Mr. Sunil Lalvani operates as President of IFSS and Mr. Alfred Frimpong as the CEO.

The president of the International Federation of Skate Soccer who also doubles as Group managing director of Binatone, Mr. Sunil Lalvani expressed his excitement about the whole event.

He stated, “Every time we are learning, every time we are improving making the game more exciting. The crowd is getting bigger. We are building the excitement so we are happy about the whole organization.”

The chief executive officer of IFSS, Mr. Albert K.Frimpong also said the event went well, and thought the Togolese could have given Ghana much stiffer opposition.

“It’s been a wonderful event, the Togolese gave us a very good account of themselves, they didn’t start well. I didn’t expect them to perform this way.”
