GOC President Wishes Ghana Sportsmen And Women Merry Christmas And A Prosperous 2020

Ben Nunoo Mensah, president of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has sent a message of good tidings and blessing to all Ghanaian sportsmen and women.

He sent the blessing to both local and international based athletes and urged them to train harder and better as the nation crosses to another Olympic Year, 2020.

He said the physically challenged athletes are always on his mind and heart, hoping they are going to shine brighter for Ghana, come the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan.

He commended the sports federation heads for the efforts in managing athletes at crucial times and conditions and appealed to corporate Ghana to come to the aid of sportsmen and women, especially when they need funds to hoist the national flag at international competition.

According to the GOC president, 2020 should be a year of improvement and miraculous for Ghanaian athletes, coaches and managers to shine and win more glory.

He applauded the international bodies, International Olympic Committee (IOC), Commonwealth Games and ANOCA for their support as well as the diplomatic missions in Ghana who have aided some of the sports federations.

To the media, he noted Ayekoo, and urged them to be more positive in their reportage, covering all sports disciplines to attract the general public to bring back the love and glory of Ghana Sports.
