Ghana Black Queens Draw With Harambee Starlets of Kenya in Accra

The Ghana Black Queens managed a scoreless drawn game with their counterpart from Kenya on Friday in the first leg of a two-legged clash ahead of the final playoff round to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Nicknamed the Harambee Starlets, the Kenyans played a determined game to hold Ghana at the Accra sports stadium. They really proved that they have developed and ready for the battle to qualify to the biggest sports festival.

The hard working Kenyans matched the Black Queen boot for boot and got a good away draw result.

Coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo and her team have an uphill task to win in Kenya, and they must adequately prepare well or forget about upcoming fixtures and the Tokyo mission.

Players of both Ghana and Kenya know the significance of the match and will need to win to boost their chances of progressing to the final qualifying round which will see them securing the right to participate at the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.

The return match crucial game between two teams will be played on Tuesday October 8 at in Moi International Stadium in Kenya. The winner will play in the final qualifier to make way to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
