GBSU Celebrates Weightlifting Champion, Christian Amoah

The Ghana Boxing Supporters Union (GBSU) on Saturday joined Ghana’s Weightlifting Champion, Christian Amoah to celebrate his latest achievement as Gold Medalist at the 2019 African Junior Championship in Uganda.

Amoah who won three gold medals in the 86kg division said his target is to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games.

He explained that after making it to the last Games in Rio 2016 Brazil, where he went to learn to gain experience, his aim now is to improve upon his points collection to qualify and win in Tokyo, Japan.

The GBSU executives and members led by vice president Mr. Samual ‘Wiseman’ Gyan and Dauda Fuseini commended him for his achievement and wished him more success in the future.

They also congratulated Bukom Banku for winning the WBU International Cruiser weight title belt, and the Black Meteors who qualified to the African U23 Foorball Championship leading to the Olympic Games.

Nii Amoo, organizer of GBSU said they support all Ghanaian boxers and sportsmem and women.

He appealed to government and the sports authorities to support them to travel with athletes to give them moral to win.

The GBSU members were at the premises of HSTV / www.ultimatesportsgh.com to wish Ghana’s Patrick Allotey victory in his WBO junior middleweight title in the USA.
