IGCC Chairman Visits Team Ghana In Camp


The International Games & Competitions Committee Chairman who doubles as the Director General NSA, Prof. Peter Twumasi has paid a working visit to the athletes camping at Cape Coast for the second time in one week to inspire them ahead of the 12th African Games in Morocco.

Prof. Peter Twumasi urged the team to be positive and patriotic as well as feel great to don the national colours.

He met the athletes and coaches as well as other officials with the team.


Meanwhile, the athletes have had their medicals ahead of the games.

The IGCC organized an Anti-Doping seminar for Team Ghana ahead of 12th African Games.

Former IBF and IBO world boxing bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko also visited the boxing team, Black Bombers in camp at Cape Coast and advised them to be disciplined and be worthy ambassadors as they aim to win medals for mother Ghana.

The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) president, George Lamptey was also in the camp over the weekend.

Team Ghana would be leaving from August 13th to 16th to compete in 14 out of 25 disciplines, with 91 athletes, 29 technical staff and 19 management team members.
