Ghana wins three gold medals in Judo President's Cup

The sport of judo has received a massive boost following the success of judokas who represented the country at this year's President's Cup in London, UK over the weekend.

Team Ghana emerged third best overall behind Russia and Britain on the back of three gold medals, three bronze medals and a bronze in the team competition.

The Ghanaian side are expected back home from the championships on Friday with all seven medals, and inspiration to other judokas that this country can indeed win laurels in the sport.

Judo had already served notice of their huge potential when Razak Abugri won Ghana's first medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland back in July.
