UCI Vice President Visits Ghana


Dr. Mohammed Wagih, vice president of Union Cycliste International and president of Africa Cycling visited the offices of the Ghana Olympic Committee GOC on Wednesday.

He was accompanied by Mohammed Shannon, the president of Ghana Cycling and other officials. He urged Ghanaian cycling fans to unite and work together.


He commended the GOC for sustaining Ghana Sports. The team was welcomed by the Vice president of the GOC Mr Paul Atchoe and General Secretary Richard Akpokavie.


While in Ghana, Dr. Wagih used the opportunity to advice members and executives of the Ghana Cyling Federation to come together and operate in peace, love and harmony. The Ghana Cycliing Federation has for some time been facing leadership issues, and the visit of the continental head may shape things to get better.
