Autonomous league will produce strong National Teams – Kudjoe Fianoo


Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Mr Kudjoe Fianoo  bhas reiterated that an Autonomous league will enable the Ghana FA to build a strong National Football teams.

The GHALCA boss, who’s been involved in the previous discussion on the Independence of the National league maintained that thw Ghana FA has 9 national teams to take care, and therefore relieving them of the league will all for proper oversight of the National teams.

“There are nine national Football teams, the FA will have time to concentrate on that so that we concentrate and get our league done.

It will be in the supreme interest of clubs for the league to go autonomous” He told Skyy Power FM in Takoradi.

He lauded the Kurt Okraku led GFA administration for taking that bold decision to fulfill their campaign promise of delivering a free and independent league.

“The current decision of the FA to allow the league to go autonomous is in fulfilment of a campaign promise of the current FA President”

The Ghana FA announced plans aee far advanced to allow for an Independent league, and is committed to granting that right.

Premier league clubs in the meantime have elected John Ansah, Togbe Afede and Delali Senenya to form a 5 member committee to spearhead the formation of the Autonomous league

The FA ExCo is expected to add two names to complete the Five Member Committee for them to do draft proposal for the ExCo in order to kick start the implementation of the Autonomous League.
