One on One Foundation Commends Unilever For Donating To Sanitation Ministry

Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams, CEO of One on One Foundation, organisers of the Schools Sanitation Tour Programme has commended Unilever, their major partner for donating detergents to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

The donation took place on Friday at the premises of the AMA just before a massive clean up at the markets in the Accra Business Area, and the recipients  were overwhelmed by the surprise package which was initiated by the Foundation.

Present at the programme were the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah Hon. Mohammed Adjei Sowah, the Mayor of Accra, Hon. Paa Joe (PM) and assembly members of the AMA.

Mr. Olla Williams who is also the youth coordinator of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) called an the youth to support all clean up programmes in their communities.

The ministers present as well as the Mayor of Accra also thanked Unilever for the kind gesture and appealed to other companies to support the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr. Henry Malm, corporate affairs manager of Unilever who spoke to the media said the current pandemic of the coronavirus calls for Ghanaian to cultivate healthy living styles and Uniliver products are the solution.

He congratulated the organisers of the SHS Sanitation programme which creates awareness among student to live in hygienic conditions.

He urged Ghanaians to patronize Vim in cleaning floors and tiles, as well as use Sunlight in bathing to ward of germs and dirt.

General manager of One on One Foundation, Miss Sarah Awini said Ghanaians must learn to live safe ans healthy. She noted that children and the youth must be educated more on being disciplined on sanitation issues.

She thanked the sponsors of One on One Foundation, like Unilever, Parlays Biscuits and Cave & Gardens.

Present at the donation were the military, police, Fire Service and AMA city guards who supported the clean up exercise.
